Because Lisa has 2 Things She Wants to Share with You

#1
It's official everyone, Because I Shop too much is now live and ready for all of you to use and enjoy! For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, here's a bit about the site:

If you’ve ever had the desire to look through your most fashionable friend’s closet and borrow her style for a day, you will no longer have to leave the comfort of your own bedroom thanks to the launch of Becauseishoptoomuch.com. The site is a customer-focused, interactive marketplace that allows users to buy, sell, and swap clothing and accessories from their closets at no charge. Because I Shop Too Much aims to combat the fragile economy by providing users with an outlet and opportunity to attain the low cost of high style.

Becoming a member is simple and starts with the user creating a profile on the site followed by a PayPal account. Once users have signed up for both, they can begin uploading photos of the items they wish to sell or swap.

“It’s not just about selling & buying clothes” assures Lisa Fergus, Owner. “We’re meeting lots of females out there – especially today – that are on budgets for a variety of reasons – family, school, the economy. They are bold, creative, & want to look great without paying premium “And the fact that friendships & social circles are being formed along the way,” as Kaitlyn Fergus, Owner points out, “well, that just may be the best part.”

I love that so many of you have stumbled upon it in the past few weeks. I love that we already have sizes xs-xxl up for sale on the site and I really love how many boys have closets! I am so proud to say myself and Kaitlyn have made our baby come to life! So go check it out!!! Shop, create a closet and sell your stuff, and let us know if you have any questions or suggestions! ENJOY!!
*Site currerntly for US citiziens only but expanding soon!!

For over 2 years now, I have been wearing my hair in top knots. I even posted about hair donuts over on Stilettos and Diaper Bags back in June of 2010. The directions on the package say "Pull hair through bun. Arrange hair over form and secure with bobby pins & U pins." In my mind, that meant pull your hair through, pin it around the donut, and then wrap all the ends of your hair around the base of that. I would even sometimes braid the ends around the base. What I never understood was how everyone else had these awesome top knots where the full bun was tucked under at the base. HOW ARE THEY ALL DOING THIS?! I finally stumbled upon a YouTube video by Wendy's Look Book showing how to do a casual sock bun. (I also find it alarming that it took me 2 years to actively look into this, as there are about 1 million videos about top knots on YouTube! lol)

Here is what I used:

What I learned in the video is that after you have your hair secured in a ponytail, you put the hair donut or rolled up sock at the end of your hair. Holding it up in the air, you then roll it down toward the top of your head. You don't even need too many pins as it just stays in place! HOW DID I NOT FIGURE THIS OUT SOONER?! Seriously, I am so mad I have been taking up so much time when this takes 5 mins or less to do.

Here is the finished product:

If you are like me and haven't figured out these buns yet, I hope this helps you. If you have been doing this all along, I hope you are laughing at me as I have been spending 25 mins on bun looks for years! (lowers head and shakes it) :)
