Weather wearing it for a date night or to a wedding reception, this necklace has been getting lots of use! What do you think? I know the J.Crew version is a bit pricey, but now they sell it for more cost effective prices at Pree Brulee and Baublebar too. We love this necklace so much that Kaitlyn now has it in pink and I bought it in yellow as well!

Because Kaitlyn is Falling for Autumn

There are many beautiful aspects of fall including the vibrant foliage and hot drinks that warm your blood, but one of my favorite things is the way the light looks before dusk. Suddenly all the trees and landscaping become illuminated and it’s the perfect balance between fall and an Indian summer where I wish we could hide until winter is over.

This was a casual Sunday spent with the fam, so I opted for air-dried waves, colored jeans, a comfy top and my current loves: the studded loafers. Gives it something extra, right?

Because Lisa Is OBSESSED with Leopard

Update: Because Kaitlyn Now Love's Colored Denim

Remember how I explained my uncertainty about colored pants in this previous post? Yes, well I purchased two pairs in the past week (both green), so I realize now that A) I have found a nice spot colored denim in my heart and B) I now own 4 pairs of green pants. Wow. I'm not sure how that happened, but this is clearly a bit excessive, so it may be time to share the wealth on BISTM ;-)

A few years ago, I swore I would never wear a maxi dress....that is until I started seeing endless gorgeous pictures of Lisa in them. This one by Victoria's Secret provides a great amount of comfort (and surprising warmth in my cold office) yet still looks stylish...especially when paired with my new Bauble Bar (love finding the hidden gem!)

Because Lisa Loves Pops of Neon

I did a blog post over on Stilettos and Diaper bags about wearing boyfriend jeans 3 ways last month. These shoes were used on my polyvore collage and I bought them the very next day...

 I was so tempted to wear the exact outfit I had in my collage, but decided to mix it up just a bit (pretty much add a color blazer and a neutral bag and you're good to go!) Since it was 82 degrees out, I went with a tank and statement necklace.

Blouse Obsession

I love seasonal pieces that you can transition from one climate to another, because who wants all of their new summer purchases to be stowed away for another year? I've been infatuated with sheer blouses lately because of their masculine base with a feminine twist and I think they look classy whether tucked into a pair of skinny jeans or printed shorts.

Once the air turns crisp, these will be perfect for layering under chunky knits & warm boots...

Which one is your favorite?

Statement necklaces have always been one of our "go-to's" when it comes to accessorizing because they can take an outfit from simple to stylish or day to night in a matter of seconds. Lisa owns this great turquoise necklace from Just Fab that I fell in love with immediately upon seeing it, so of course it was only a matter of time before I ordered my own ;-)

Because Kaitlyn Loves Braids

Any event that gives me an excuse to get my hair and makeup done is a win, so I enjoyed getting ready for wedding #2 this summer. I'm really into braids lately, so I brought a few Pinterest inspired pics to the hairdresser and she created a french braided in the back and twisted into a side bun. Hopefully Lisa can master this for our future photo shoots :)

Because Lisa went Boating

I went boating at my hubby's family's lake house over Labor Day weekend. It was really great that we went out so early in the day as it rained the second half.

I decided to wear a basic tee with jeans, wedges, and a scarf.

The family and I had so much fun! It was my little lady's first time ever on the boat and she LOVED it. She almost fell asleep a few times, I guess she liked the rocking, but the occasional spray of lake water woke her back up. ;) My kids are such water babies. I know they (and we) are spoiled and fortunate for sure!

I don't think it's possible for Lauren Conrad to do any wrong when it comes to style, but she looked especially gorgeous during NYFW. I love the jeweled shoulder details and the bun.

Jennifer Hudson looked amazing in head to toe turquoise with a pop of pink lip color and a fish tail braid.

It's easy to understand why Olivia Palermo is one of Lisa's style icons, because she always looks so effortlessly put together. I love these printed shorts with the leaf necklace detail.

I'm lusting over Katrina Bowden's fringe skirt and floral blouse...the combination is stunning.
