Because It's Kaitlyn's Birthday Today!

Thanks to HowAboutWe, my husband and I were able to enjoy a weeknight date in the city as an early birthday treat. We dined at The Bedford in Wicker Park which is inspired by the supper club experience of a bygone era. As the former Home Bank and Trust Company building, it was a very cool experience to sit in an old vault where each wall is still adorned with copper safety deposit boxes.

We shared a bottle of Prosecco and I enjoyed a fantastic sweet potato gnocchi dish (complete with kale and toasted pumpkin seeds!) Of course we topped the night off with dessert and I have 3 words for you – salted caramal marshmallow. Need I say more?
