Rocked it & Swapped it

We typically try to mix things up when we swap items in order to show the versatility, but as I was looking at these photos, I see how similarly we styled the piece. I don't think either of us realized that earth tones were the name of the game when it came to a pallate for this gorgeous House of Gemmes necklace. 

Though I love both outfits, I would like to see these jewels compliment a bright pink top or a chambray shirt under a polka dot sweater. Guess it's time to request another swap with Lisa... ;)

By now you guys know our amazing intern Rebecca of the blog [oomph.] (if you haven't yet, make sure to follow her...she has amazing style!) In August, I bought this beautiful necklace for her at Charming Charlie and decided that the "one for you, one for me" rule would work here just fine ;) 

We've watched her style the necklace a few times, but this leopard look was my favorite. I finally wore mine to the designer pop-up shop a few weeks ago and don't know how I haven't worn it 10 times by now! ;)

When it comes to rocking and swapping we don't just trade clothes...we love to swap jewelry and bags too! Here is how we both styled Lisa's J.Crew Statement Necklace:

Weather wearing it for a date night or to a wedding reception, this necklace has been getting lots of use! What do you think? I know the J.Crew version is a bit pricey, but now they sell it for more cost effective prices at Pree Brulee and Baublebar too. We love this necklace so much that Kaitlyn now has it in pink and I bought it in yellow as well!
