(Fashion) Rules are meant to be broken. DO wear white after Labor Day, DO pair navy with black, and do NOT feel the need to match your bag to your shoes. Also, one of my absolute favorites? DO style florals for Fall. In fact, I prefer floral prints in cooler temps...With a chunky knit and suede booties, it's as cozy chic as it gets. As long as you're coloring inside a few lines such as selecting florals in muted, more neutral hues such as navy, oxblood, dark green and black.
I loved this maxi from the moment I saw it. On the Tobi website, the model was wearing her hair down in cascading waves and donning the perfect cognac mules while glistening in the desert heat. This is one of those moments where I realize I was the perfect prey to make a sale but I have no shame...it's a gorgeous dress with a built-in Angelina moment that works year round. That's a YES.
Also, because it's still quite warm out (and no, I'm not complaining), I chose to pair this dress with sandals but in a few weeks, I will swap them out for tasseled booties which will complement this navy leather jacket. Speaking of, can we just talk about how much I love it? Guys, I don't know if I'll pull my black leather beauty out at all this year...the blue is just a little more unexpected and unique.
As a reminder, new customers get 50% off the first Tobi order! You're welcome...for the perfect excuse to share with your husband when ANOTHER UPS box arrives at your front door. "Honey, it was practically free..."
By the way, ladies, I wore this out to a Family dinner so I had to keep things classy...but next time, I plan to wear it n a date night, in which case I will not be sporting a nude bralette underneath ;) Because it's a maxi which offers a lot of coverage (not my husbands favorite, I'll admit) the extra bit of skin it offers up top is a great way to balance it out and still feel sexy at the same time.
