As we raise our glass this holiday season to toast with our loved ones, we're trying our best to keep it as healthy as possible. We know this time of year is notorious for indulgence and it's so easy to focus on not over-eating (though, let's be honest, we all do), we often neglect to be conscious of how much sugar and calories are in our favorite eggnog and spiked hot chocolate delights. To keep you from stressing over one more thing this season, we’ve lightened up a few unique holiday cocktails by using La Croix sparkling water as a mixer. We recently tried the new holiday variety pack which includes berry, tangerine and cran-raspberry, 3 of our new favorites.
Vodka Berry Soda
Tangerine Margarita
Substituting tangerine juice for lime in a margarita is a revelation...or at least it was to me. The taste is gentler, a little sweeter, and far more pleasing to the nose —the tangerine flavor is a great match for the orange liqueur, boosting its presence. This is such a fun twist on a classic!
- Ice
- 1 part tequila
- 1 part triple sec orange liqueur, preferably Cointreau
- 1 part Tangerine LaCroix
- Thin lemon slice to garnish
Mixed Berry Mimosa
We all enjoy a good nightcap or cocktail at an evening holiday party but is there anything better than day drinking, aka endless mimosas at brunch? There's something so satisfying about being able to sip on mimosas and then crawl back into bed in your coziest pj's ;)
- 1 part cran-raspberry La Croix
- 1 part champagne or prosecco
- A few frozen strawberries to garnish & for extra fizz
- Secret - I added a little red food coloring to make it extra festive. One drop is all you need!
