Because Kaitlyn Rented the Runway (part 2!)

As mentioned last week, I recently utilized Rent the Runway for a wedding but the dresses didn't make it to my house in time due to crazy winter weather (which actually worked out because alternative dress was uhhmazing). That said, my original order did show up a few days later so I couldn't resist playing dress up which inspired a fancy dinner at home with the husband. 

(P.S. This was during the negative double digit temperatures so I was not about to take these bare legs outside...inside shooting it is!)

Rocked it & Swapped it

Now that the weather is finally getting warmer, Lisa and I are so excited to start swapping everything from bright colors, fun prints and light layers. I loved her recent blue hues post and knew this animal print tank  from Nordstrom would be the perfect accessory for my girls night out. 

Lisa finished off her look with braids and boots while I opted for waves and heels.

I rarely let myself wear open-toe shoes without a fabulous pedicure to show off, but these heels have been sitting in my closet for a few weeks now and I just couldn't resist. Tomorrow, I tackle the toes!

Because It Was a No-Makeup Day!

Most days, I spend time picking out a cute outfit, using hot tools on my hair, deciding on the right accessories and finishing the look with the perfect shoe. 

This day (the first sunny one in weeks!), I had my wedding hair and makeup trial, so I was ecstatic to get out  of the shower, let my hair air dry, my skin breathe and put on a comfortable outfit that I could sit in for hours (and borrow Lisa's sunglasses -- I'm officially obsessed).

And even though I have a soft spot for a pair of gorgeous shoes, I still feel best when I'm barefoot - It reminds me of playing outside until the sun went down when I was little.

Because Kaitlyn Celebrated Her Anniversary!

This was my 6th anniversary dinner with my fiance although it felt equally amazing to our first - The feeling in my stomach holds just as many butterflies as day we realized we were more than friends. 

We had a wonderful dinner at The Bank filled with appletini's, anniversary ale (real name!) and life chats about what's to come for us.

A little over 2 months until he becomes my husband...I can't wait.

Because I Have a Sweet Tooth

As much as I try to lead a healthy lifestyle, I can't always ignore the fact that my heart has a huge hole that can only be filled with something sweet (besides my fiance of course!) I am always pinning, printing and saving new recipes to try which I'd like to do more of in 2013 and I recently stumbled upon Sallys Baking Addiction, a balance of healthy and indulgent food: the PERFECT combination.
