Nochella, No Problem

Anyone else having major festival envy watching Coachella on social media? That envy quickly passed as I wore one of my new favorite spring dresses and live-streamed the show from the comfort of my living room. Nochella, no problem! I actually danced and had a very fun time with my husband as we did just that each night this weekend! Something tells me we will be at it again this coming weekend too.  OK, let's get back to this gorgeous festival look, shall we?

When shopping for womens dresses, Express has you covered. This flowy number became my fast favorite due to the fun neckline and crochet detail. Plus I'm a huge fan of a sheer bottom...let's just say this dress checked off all my boxes. When it came to the styling, I kept it easy by adding a cream heel, headband, denim jacket, and saddle bag. I love how the colors paired, don't you?

I decided to use the triangle detail in the top of the dress to pull in these gorgeous dangle earrings from Park Lane Jewelry. I have the matching necklace too (which will be on the blog next week) and it added just the right amount of glam to this look. Sometimes you just need a little sparkle even when dealing with festival styles.

Layering a Skirt Over a Dress, Why Not?

Sometimes when I wear a tank top with a maxi skirt, I feel like the top bunches up or doesn't stay tucked in properly. With that in mind, I decided to layer my maxi skirt over a midi dress to solve that problem. It ended up working out perfectly!

I mixed my neutrals this day adding a brown bag, black heels, and lots of easy silver jewelry.

Because Kaitlyn Loves 'Murica

Hands down, this 4th of the July was the best one yet. Though I look forward to our week long Wisco visit every year, this one exceeded expectations - I've been so depressed with all the doom and gloom weather in Chicago, so 4 days of nothing but sunshine and high temps was just like heaven.

With my wedding around the corner, it felt great to spend some time with my favorite people doing regular summer activities- boating, swiming, walking, mini bar-crawling (WITH Mom & Dad and fireball shots nonetheless) and of course, watching fireworks in my fiance's embrace.

I miss it already...

What was your favorite part about the 4th?
