These Are a Few of our Favorite....Lip Colors

As two girls of very different heights, we can't always make each piece of clothing shareable but one thing we never have a problem trading are our favorite lip colors. In our mind, a great lip color is just as important as your favorite pair of shoes or statement necklace because one swipe of color can actually change your mood. Even if you don't have other make up on (though mascara is still always a must!), you can still look and feel put together.

So yes, it's true...we are self-proclaimed beauty junkies, always on a mission to define our signature lip color — everyone has a shade that never fails to flatter and make them feel instantly gorgeous...

Here are a few of our current favorite shades:

Bobbi Brown // Colors: Blue Raspberry, Rose Blossom

Because Lisa Loves the Lake House

Over the 4th of July weekend, we went to the family lake house for some relaxing, eating, boating, and fireworks. I always welcome a few days of laziness, especially when it comes to getting ready: A comfy maxi dress, check! A big bag for all my boating needs, check! Air dried hair and not makeup (other then a light lip color), check!

Because Lisa HAD to Find a Top like Kaitlyn's

I recently wore an outfit on my personal blog and became obsessed with the top that was a swap from Kaitlyn. I tried to make a permanent switch with her and asked if I could have it/buy it/swap her for it but she wanted it back. BOO HISS! 

SO, I was over the moon when I saw this blouse at Macys. Same button sleeves, same collar, same sheer back....I'm one happy camper.

What's in Lisa's Purse?

I switch bags fairly regularly, so there is usually just what I NEED in each bag in any given time. I am also very good at not keeping garbage in my bag, so here it is, no edits.

#1 Rachel Zoe Fringe Bag - I've had it for years and will probably always be one of my favorite bags. It's in constant rotation.

#2 a banana ;)

#3 Mini Vaseline (great for lips, nails, elbows, well...dry anything really)

#4 Business Cards (Stilettos and Diaper Bags and BISTM/BTGTF)

#5 A Car. Yep, who knows!

#6 Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey Cologne spray

#7 Mini Tupperware key chain. I keep my Chinese medicine for my head and neck in there.

#8 Tampon. Enough said.

#9 Prada Sunnies..for shame I had no case in my purse. I'm usually better about that.

#10 & #11 IPhone 5 and Head piece. I always go hands free!

#12 Fossil Wallet. I only bring out the cards I need for said day. I hate the thought of loosing my bag and having to figure out what I need to cancel. I have another (bigger) wallet at home where I keep everything..a home base if you will

#14 Comb. Great to separate you bangs throughout the day.

#15 & #16 Bobbi Brown Lip color and Corrector (has mirror in it to reapply lip stick or do bang checks)

#18 Crayons and paper. When you are stuck waiting or at a restaurant it is always great to have these on hand to keep the kids busy.

Because Lisa Mixes Animal Prints

I am a repeat offender with this knit, it's one of my current favorites which makes it in heavy rotation.  Here is how I paired my animal print knit with a great pair of animal print heels that I found on BISTM:

 Do you ever pair animal print with other similar prints? It's one of my favorite things to do. You don't have to go over the top, but the subtle print mixing does the trick for me.

Fall was all about blouses for me but this winter, I find myself leaning towards all different styles of knits! They are great for layering and can be dressed up or down depending on your day. I love everything from stripes to polka dots or chevron.

Because Lisa Is OBSESSED with Leopard
