Fall Trend Alert: Velvet

Each season we are tempted to try new trends that have been shown in runway shows all across the world. When Vouge Paris wrote about all the velvet spotted in shows including Gucci, Prada, & Fendi, I didn't know how to feel other then curious. I wore a good amount of velvet in the late 90's during high school, and I don't remember it being so great. I mean, maybe I just didn't have the right pieces, but isn't that the issue will all trends? They can be a total hit or miss. However, if you find the right pieces, most trends can be pretty awesome!

Recent posts may indicate that we're slightly obsessed with the 70's, at least in the form of jumpsuits. Remember the amazing onesies we all wore as children? They were comfortable, stylish (obviously!), and made it easy to get dressed...who wants to spend the time picking out a top AND bottoms? 

The return of the one piece still carries all the same benefits and we are all for an outfit that allows you to feel like you're wearing pj's, but looks to others as if you put in an extra pinch of effort ;)

Why Couldn't I Live in the 70's?

I think I would have LOVED to be an adult in the 1970's. I guess it's fitting that I was born in 1979, but for some reason the styles of the 70's just call to me. Enter the jumpsuit tread.

Thankfully jumpsuits are all the rage this season and I am over the moon that I have so many options to choose from. Kaitlyn got this sexy number and I was very excited to wear it for a night out! I kept the styling simple by adding great black heels, simple gold jewelry, and my favorite black fringe bag.
