When shopping for anything really, you always want to look for items that can be styled season after season. This beautiful Rebecca Minkoff bag from Shopbop is one of our many shared items. We trade it back and forth every few months and have found that it really is the perfect color for every season! 

Kaitlyn rocked this quilted beauty in the fall with her layered look. I wore it a ton this past winter as it just gave any look a great pop of color but also served as a timeless piece for any look. This spring, I wore the bag again and paired it with matching blue sandals. Most recently, Kaitlyn paired it with her super chic summer romper at the lake.

A green army jacket or top is one of our must-haves for Spring and Summer as it's incredibly versatile and the perfect addition for almost any personal style. I feel like this is one of those 90's styles that has made a triumphant comeback...unlike the Birks, sorry guys, we just can't rekindle that love connection.

Lisa has let me borrow this top a few times now and on each occasion, I claim that she may end up never seeing it again...It's the equivalent of a great denim jacket because it goes with almost anything and adds a great masculine element to otherwise feminine pieces. Lisa remixed it from Spring to Summer by pairing with dark denim and booties followed by a comfy midi dress.

I first paired it with pink stripes and white denim then a great shift dress (also Lisas, perhaps I should raid her entire wardrobe!)

Statement coats or sweaters are just as important to your wardrobe as a great statement bag or shoe. Sure, you may not wear it everyday, but when you do, it's all you need to stand out. When it comes to winter fashion here in the Midwest, layers are key. This winter has been particularly harsh with more subzero days then I want to count. When I came across this plaid drape front cardigan, I knew it would be a perfect addition to my ever-growing winter wardrobe. 

It's versatile enough to wear with anything from date night out to everyday wear and even paired perfectly with a moto jacket and crop boots.

Rocked it & Swapped it (Twice!)

Back in 2013, Kaitlyn and I swapped my Just Fab square, hot pink clutch. It's a statement bag without being over sized, no? It's for sure a bag I never plan to get rid of. I love the pop of color and it's great for everyday wear or even for special occasions.

In October of last year, I wore my clutch to a meet and greet myself and Kaitlyn did for our company and websites (Because I Shop too Much & Because They Grow Too Fast). This year showing off her summer style, Katilyn styled it flawlessly with a graphic tee and floral skirt.

Rocked it & Swapped it

We love a dress that you can wear multiple time throughout the year and make it look different each time and this Shop Frankie's piece is a perfect example. 

By adding a leather jacket, high heel and teased pony, Lisa turned a simple summer dress into the ultimate look for a summer rock show. She also wore it for a casual date night on the beach in Mexico and to a whiskey tasting this winter -- by adding a printed scarf, she gave the dress a totally different look, making it like a whole new outfit. 

When I found the dress in my #swap bag, I didn't waste any time and put it on that day. By adding a gold belt and jean jacket, I was ready for lunch by the lake or a visit to the beach…you never know where the day will take you ;)
